Sara is an environmental graphic designer and joined the Corbin Design team in the autumn of 2022. With a background in graphic design, print production, and 3D modeling, Sara has great skills at bringing two-dimensional drawings to life. She loves working with maps, analyzing them, and gaining an understanding of the space and how visitors move through it.
Sara is born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan, home to the Corbin Design office. She enjoys the four distinct seasons and community of the town, though she also likes to travel to new places and experience everything unique that they have to offer. Aside from art (of course), she always had a passion and interest for the sciences in school, specifically astronomy. Sara has a BFA in computer animation from Ringling College of Art + Design and a professional history of working as an animator, graphic designer, and production artist/3D modeler in the print production industry. She has worked on a wide variety of projects including mall directories, truss event structures for companies such as Morgan Stanley and Nike, and an anniversary event for Toyota. Sara continues to learn more about wayfinding and has also recently begun developing skills in computer coding JavaScript and SQL.
Outside of work, Sara enjoys learning to sew her own dresses, creating illustrations, and playing unique board games with friends and family.
