Margaret is a Designer at Corbin Design and joined the team in January 2016. During her time at Corbin, she's worked on civic, trail, healthcare, and higher education projects. Margaret's favorite parts of her job are the unique challenges of 3-dimensional design and the relationships she has made with the members of the Corbin team.
Originally from Ohio, she's lived in a few different spots, but Columbus has a special place in her heart. In school, she loved the classes that allowed her to get creative like Art and Yearbook, but also loved Psychology and learning about the human mind. She graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design. Shortly after graduating, Margaret joined the Corbin Design team as a junior designer and was promoted to designer in 2018. She became a member of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) in 2014 where she participated in the annual conference held in Chicago, IL, to further her understanding of the built environment.
Outside of work, Margaret loves cooking and any type of physical activity, but bike rides and trail hikes in the summer are her favorite. She loves that Traverse City has so many options for sandy beaches to visit and the small-town outdoorsy energy. When she gets the opportunity, she loves to visit with her parents and two younger siblings. However, she also has some family in her home up north- two cats with plenty of personality.
