Posted in Healthcare on July 2nd, 2009 by Mark VanderKlipp – Be the first to commentThe Indiana University School of Medicine opened a new $150 million cancer center on its Indianapolis campus in late 2008, offering state-of-the-art medical treatment to cancer patients.
Corbin Design created the interior and exterior wayfinding systems for the five-story, 405,000-square-foot facility, having already developed wayfinding systems for other Clarian Health facilities including Clarian Arnett Hospital, Clarian North Medical Center and Clarian West Medical Center.
Corbin worked closely with architects at Cannon Design and designers at Maregatti Interiors to assure that the wayfinding elements coordinated with the building architecture and interior decor.
The system was fabricated and installed by ASI-Modulex of Indianapolis.
Our work has been showcased as part of a series on “Placemaking” within Northwestern Michigan’s Second Wave online magazine. The article features several projects from our portfolio, and an explanation of the phrase “Good design goes unnoticed.”
