In creating a wayfinding master plan and signage standards for all Henry Ford Health System facilities, Corbin treated the main Henry Ford Hospital campus as the flagship site of the system. The resulting signage uses similar masonry materials and details as the hospital’s architecture for a uniform appearance. Color is used to promote wayfinding: blue for hospital destinations; green for clinic destinations; and red for the emergency and trauma center. Entrance markers and parking signs for each of these three primary destinations use the same colors. The wayfinding and signage program is supported by a detailed printed map designed by Corbin that is given to every patient referred to the hospital.
