Jeff is one of Corbin’s newest designers, but he’s no newcomer to the field. He brings eight years of studio experience in environmental graphic and industrial design to the firm. Jeff’s past assignments have involved conducting comprehensive circulation analyses of healthcare, education, corporate and transportation facilities, and designing and implementing comprehensive wayfinding and signage systems for national and global clients.

Before joining Corbin, Jeff worked for environmental graphic design firms in Chicago. He served as lead designer and project manager for an interior wayfinding and signage program for Chicago’s historic Union Station, and designed sign systems for Comer Children’s Hospital and Boeing Corporate Headquarters. He also developed signage programs for the Los Angeles Federal Courthouse (the country’s largest federal courthouse), and master wayfinding plans for the 5-million-square-foot Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates, the 17,000-student University of Angola in Luanda, Angola, and Shunyi, China’s International School of Beijing.

Jeff also served as a staff signage designer for the Lincoln Park Zoo for five years, creating interpretive and interactive displays for exhibits including the underwater exhibit at the Kovler Sea Lion Pool, the zoo’s oldest and most popular attraction.

While the work was fulfilling, the hours spent commuting into and out of the city were not, so Jeff and his wife Elsa decided to exchange one view of Lake Michigan for another.

Jeff is already hard at work at Corbin, putting his years of experience to use in projects including the development of exterior signage standards for Eli Lilly & Company’s corporate campus in Indianapolis and Kelly Services’ world headquarters in Troy, Michigan.
