As individuals and as a firm, we at Corbin are dedicating ourselves to making a positive difference in the communities where we live and work. We hope that our efforts serve as an inspiration to other individuals and firms seeking to make a difference in their communities.

Specific organizations that Corbin staff members have donated their time and effort to include The American Cancer Society and its annual Relay for Life fundraiser, American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan, Cherryland Humane Society, City Opera House Heritage Committee, Father Fred Foundation, Friends North, Girl Scouts, Goodwill Inn, Habitat for Humanity, House of Hope, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Leelanau Children’s Choir, Leelanau Conservancy, Long Lake Community Library effort, Munson Healthcare’s Hospitality House, Old Town Playhouse, PFLAG, the Salvation Army, TART Trails, Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce Air Service Committee, and Women’s Resource Center.

An important part of our community outreach effort involves lending our expertise as wayfinders and graphic designers to worthy local causes. Community efforts that we have donated our time and talents to as a firm include the following:

Our main goal in sharing news of our community involvement efforts is to inspire others to get involved as well. With that in mind, the links above and below can be used to locate charitable organizations that can always use a helping hand or a generous donation. Please consider doing so.

  • GivEm40 - The GivEm40 Coalition works to help all kids succeed in Northwest Michigan. “GivEm40” stands for the 40 assets that the group believes all kids need in order to thrive, from family support to a positive view of the future, and the group’s mission to help assure that area youth receive those assets.
  • Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation – The foundation’s mission is “enhancing the quality of life in our region, facilitating philanthropy by providing leadership that coordinates the use of resources for community improvement today and for future generations.”
  • Rotary Charities of Traverse City – Rotary Charities’ mission is “to provide appropriate funding, within its resources, to organizations primarily within the five county Grand Traverse Area in order to improve the well-being of the Area with special emphasis on youth, community needs and quality of life.”
  • Special Olympics Michigan – The state branch of this international group’s mission is “to provide sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for the children and adults with intellectual disabilities who live in our state.” Its northern region covers the northern Lower Peninsula.
  • United Way of Northwest Michigan – United Way’s local mission is to improve the lives of community members and address local challenges in innovative ways by making value-added grants with donor funds, forming partnerships and engaging volunteers of all ages.
