President, Senior Designer
In his seventeen years with Corbin, Mark has helped numerous clients realize their brand objectives: through wayfinding signage design and standards, print collateral and website development, identity design and standards management, and software design and development. For each project type, Mark provided strategic and process thinking, lead design and project management expertise.
Mark joined Corbin in 1992, after six years of freelancing and working for graphic design firms in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was named Director of Print and New Media in 1994, Senior Vice President in 1999, and President in 2003 as part of the firm's transition to an employee-owned company.
Mark has served as a board member of the Association of Professional Design Firms (APDF), an organization dedicated to furthering the business of design. He has advocated for effective wayfinding design in presentations to organizations including the American Society of Landscape Architects, Healthcare Facilities Symposium, International Downtown Association, Michigan Department of Education, and Michigan Council of Governments.
Mark holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design from the University of Michigan School of Art and Design. An ardent U-M alumnus, he rarely fails to remind us when the Wolverines have won a game.
