Clarian West Medical Center was designed and built
as a true healing environment, offering a range of clinical programs
in a natural setting with gardens, ponds and over a mile of walking
trails on its 65-acre campus.
The $125 million, 76-bed hospital is located
in the rapidly growing city of Avon, Indiana.
Clarian Health asked Corbin to develop a system
of unique and easily maintained exterior and interior signs for the
new medical center—a
system that displayed the Clarian Health identity and was consistent
with the wayfinding master plan we had developed for Clarian Health
but differed from previous sign systems that we had designed for other
Clarian facilities.
We delivered with an integrated system that uses
limestone bases on exterior signage and interior signs with wood accents,
wooden cabinets
and background patterns inspired by nature. Many interior signs use
clear acrylic panels with vinyl messaging and graphics that are attached
to the signs by museum mounts, allowing easy and inexpensive updating
as locations change.
The system reflects Clarian West's natural surroundings, distinctive
architecture and the healing nature of the facility itself.
