In preparation for 2003's centennial celebration
of the Wright Brothers' first flight, and the anticipated influx
of visitors, Montgomery County and the National Park Service selected
Corbin to develop signage to the county's many historically significant
sites. Corbin based the signage on a system that the design firm is
developing for the larger Montgomery County region.
Working with the Dayton / Montgomery County Convention & Visitors
Bureau, Corbin developed a series of vehicular directional, pedestrian
directional and parking signs for more than 30 locations. These include
the National Aviation Hall of Fame, the Wright Cycle Company building,
the Wright Brothers Aviation Center which houses the 1905 Wright Flyer
III, and Huffman Prairie Flying Field, where Orville and Wilbur Wright
perfected the Wright Flyer following their inaugural flights at Kitty
Hawk, North Carolina.
