More than 60 cities and towns across North America—including eight of the 50 largest cities in the U.S.—have turned to Corbin Design to improve how visitors access their amenities and discover their attractions.

We begin the process by familiarizing ourselves thoroughly with an area, its geography, architecture and culture.

We meet with area stakeholders to hear firsthand reports of wayfinding challenges and discuss the potential design aesthetics of the wayfinding system. We analyze and determine the best wayfinding routes and plot the location of sign elements that will reinforce those routes. We develop master plans that establish the wayfinding logic, and standards that assure its consistent application. But the planning doesn't end with signage: residents and visitors are increasingly using new navigation and research tools on the Web, mobile devices and in print. Working closely with our clients, we prioritize investments in these areas, creating links between the physical and digital realms.

The results—from trailblazer signs that direct drivers off area highways to pedestrian kiosks that delineate local points of interest within walking distance—are wayfinding systems that reveal the true character of an area and give visitors the confidence to explore and experience more of it than ever before, leaving them eager to return.
